A Specimen depository record can be created and associated with specimen records. In the case of primary types, the location of the type is then displayed on the taxa page. The specimen depository record has the following fields:

  • Coden and link to external list of codens
  • City or other short name for the collection
  • Full name
  • Link to the depository

A search for specimen depository can be conducted by clicking on Search in the navigation bar, and selecting Specimen depository from the drop-down list. It is also possible to search for a specific depository when adding or editing a specimen. Within the specimen (second) section of the add or edit specimen page is a field called depository that will open up to the search for specimen depository page.
