The decision to grant privileges and at what level rests with the database custodian(s). There are four main user types, each of which provides privileges appropriate to the role of the user. In order of increasing database privileges these are: (1) Public Users; (2) Editors; (3) Administrators; and (4) Secure Users. Each user type is discussed in detail below.
