Data source

Data source is a means of documenting data provenance for the following data types:

• Image
• Sound recording
• Key block
• Ecological relationship
• Specimen data
• Supplementary information
• Unused data source

There is a note field available for describing the resource. A data source can be, but does not have to be, associated with a reference. Common uses include associating the data source with images, sounds or datasets being imported.
