Data source is a means of documenting data provenance for the following data types:
- Image
- Sound recording
- Key block
- Ecological relationship
- Specimen data
- Supplementary information
- Unused data source
There is a note field available for describing the resource. A data source can be, but does not have to be, associated with a reference. Common uses include associating the data source with images, sounds or datasets being imported. Search for data source allows you to restrict searches to specific data types and/or search for any part of the resource description.
